boat sank ,now wont start ? gp 1300r please help

i have a 2003 gp 1300r that sunk under water for a few hours ,, we took the plugs out and cranked all the water out and fired it up , it started up fine for three days , after that it would not start , it will not do anything!! nothing at all like it had no battery ,, so i had a 2006 harness that i opened up and wired in the power vavle plug into ,, boat fired up and rev ok , i went to fire it up again and nothing !!! just like before ,, p.s i used everything from the 06 but the ecu ,and wired up the p.v plug in its correct pin,, i also checked part #'s on all other parts and its the same .

one thing i notice before i changed the harness was that two fuse's turned into ground and when i ran straight power to it boat ran fine, same thing happened after also ..

did anyone ever go thur this before ??

Good luck buddy. Sounds like you have your work cut out.

Check the level of corrosion on the connectors you didn't replace on the machine, namely all the ones the new harness plugs into. I'm betting there's at least one that is corroded to the point of where there's no connection.

I bet there's a loose/unconnected wire somewhere. Check all grounds.

the beers where on chill and kept them coming !! had the ladies cooking up the meat till we were stuffed out our minds ,, i got a schematic for the ski "thanks o2dab5" and got to work , with in the first 1min of pulling the top off the cdi we notice that we did not connect the power wire to the fuse box proper ,, so that was our problem , the boat is now running but not reving clean ,, so we got more work to do ,,
