Bypass CDI to shut off engine (99 slh)

Cdi doesnt work to shut off engine. need a way to cut power to the motor without the cdi, as it is nearly impossible to find another cdi for my 99 slh.
So, does anyone have any idea for a way to shut it off? hopefully still using the switch on the handlebars.

Are you sure you dont have a bad switch? Grounding the black/yellow wire should kill the engine.

how is it impossible to find another cdi?

yeah grounding the black/yellow doesnt work. and they don't make the cdi's anymore apparently, so they are hard to find/expensive.

I think the 4010558 thats used in the Virage 700cc models will work. Do you have the updated ignition or the original?

you could always wire in a relay to kill power to the coils
