Weird electrical issue, 08 RXTX, whats with this?

Just put the 08 T-X out today, it ran perfect last summer, and all I did over the winter was have Jerry go through the SC, replaced the 3" Riva intake, with a 4" Kana/Spectre air filter, now when I take it out, it says 12V high, the dash board freaks out, than flashes 12V high, so I just rode it in, and went back out on my P. I have seen 12V low, but never high before. I did forget to plug in the exhaust sensor, and it flashed PO546, which I knew right away I forgot to plug the sensor back in. But this new one is mind boggleing as it has no code, just 12V high?

Prob your battery bro. Batt on my 08 just died a few weeks ago.
By the way, I had your exact symptoms. Dash freaking out etc.

Bad Voltage regulator, that's the only way to get high 12V.

That's what I thought to. When they load tested my bat it was at 8.6 would not even stand up to the test. Not saying your wrong just saying I thought that to. All kinds of crap was blinking on my gauge cluster.

I guess I have seen some crazy things happen from a simple battery problem, at least I have a spare I bought for my 07 waiting to be installed, what's another few days with it sitting on the cart has not been in water yet this year due to stealing pump parts. Poor thing is ending up a parts donar.
