    OPAS

hey guys did i make a mistake, I just ordered a set of the opas removal plates. everything i see people are using the pro series. is there that much of a difference between the pro series and the block off plates? i do plan to mod the doo more as time goes on. i am thinking if there is that much of a difference selling them and buying the pro series.

Pro series looks ten times better and you dont have that massive gap exposed.

The guys say that you need the PRO ones if your speeds are more than 75mph.

It seems to extend the edge of the ski, kinda like fixed trim tabs, it cuts down on porpoising at high speeds,
The plain opas block offs can be made easily with a jig saw and some black lexan or black Sstarboard and silicone,
some racers use them and some don't

i wish i had of bought the pro series but i will make due with the plates. the plates are easy to make but there is only so much time in the day to get stuff done. so i figured just as easy to buy them. i was out on the weekend and was looking back and you could see the paddles deflecting the water. my plan is to give these a try and see how much of a difference they make

i have the plates and cannot wait to get them off my ski.. as stated above 73ish mph your jumping and porpasing all over the place and become unhooked. I have the pro series here just need to find time to install them.

My older boats have the Riva Pros, my newer have RE, damn those RE's are much nicer, little longer also. I went RE's as at the time they made them for RXT's also, their a little longer on the P's than the Pros, and fill out the hull perfect.

Can someone post side by side pics of the RE's vs. The RIVA Pro's?
I love my RIVA pro's but my love can always be extended for another product.
