    Modification to a seadoo. Speedster.

Hi I just bought a 2005 speedster 200 with 370 hp. I'm trying to figure out what mods I could do to make more reliable horse power. I tried looking around to find some parts but I'm not having much luck , do I need to look under a jet ski or is there a site that sells for just. Speedsters ?

Thanks for the help , John

technically no company markets their stuff for the sport boats...Everything is the same except for the impellers due to the size and weight of the boats vs skis.the boat props will have different bends/pitchs to them...

Its going to take some reading and searching. Check out the build Tiny did to a speedster 430hp its a good thread to start on.

I am honestly not sure how much hi perf stuff is out there for the 155 motors...But yes, look for the stuff people are doing to the skis with those engines and double it...The hard part is getting props to work correctly due to the increased weight and drag....

Sounds like he doesn't have the NA 155hp engines, but the 185hp that came in the '04 GTX-SC. It's lightly supercharged, but no intercooler.

There's next to no performance parts for the 155hp engine, and the 185hp is tough too, because the supercharger uses a different sprocket than the 4-tecs, and since no IC, the waterflow isn't there to even add an external intercooler. Thank your lucky stars there isn't much for you to do. Modifications are E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E!

You can do atleast a 4" Intake though, right?

That should give enough of a Power Boost that they'll Feel it.

That is correct it is supercharged with no intercooler. I'm not sure about the sprockets so I will have to look into that. Let me ask this how do they get the water into the intercoolers on the newer boats I ask this because I'm tossing around the idea of modding this boat versus buying a new one that will cost 35,000.00
I'm looking for more power like all of us, so I'm just trying to learn more about this boat. I know it will cost some money but I would think with me doing most of the work that I would still be way ahead of buying a new one.
