    Took the seats off the 300

    today and immediately gained 50 rpm. As others have stated air is a problem. This was after lots of wot runs in 90F+ heat. Testing is frustrating here in NJ... it just keeps getting hotter. Now to get some air in without too much water...

    wow 50rpm is it really worth the trouble lol fit the flat filter and be done with it.

    Since I rode quite a bit of rough water and jumped in the ocean, I was never really a big fan of raising the rear seat. However, assuming the 300 hull is the same there are quite a few flat spots under the front cowls up toward the steering that made it really easy to run 3-4 good sized flo-rites.

    I have already posted pic's of extra SAFE exra air intakes

    Waz

    People if you seach and find all the old 250 free mods , in project sections etc you wont have to re-invent the wheel

    all the mods from 250 etc work

    OR We could re-visit all the old free mods... some veteran Ultra guys could even link to old posts so it would be easier for new owners to find them than using the search feature. We could get some fresh eyes on the topics and possibly improve on the old stand-bys or come up with new ideas altogether!

    That would be pretty cool too and maybe even keep the forum from getting a bit stale!
