    RXT-X 260 dies over 50mph

I went out wave jumping today and the ski was going great. Then all of a sudden the ski would lose power over 50mph if the trigger wasnt let off then the check engine light would come up without any codes.

After playing around a few times it seems that it would lose power anytime i used wot, with half to 3/4 throttle and staying below 50 the ski would work as normal.

This happened before when the ski had 12 hours on it. Took it to the dealer for its 10 hour service and they hadnt heard of anything like it before but after the service it has been perfect till now currently 24 hours.

I have done a search on here and cant find anything similar. Would it be possible that there is a faulty map sensor putting the cpu into overboost?

I would check connections...mostly the TB and the gauge cluster. Seems like a boost issue. Verify your not leaking too.

that happened to mine doing the same thing, i pulled on shore and popped the seat it ended up being a loose coil pack. popped it out from hitting the wakes i guess. now i make sure they are on tight b4 every ride.

Check the connections at your battery terminals. You may have a loose connection.

Thanks for all the replies, it looks like it was boost leak.

I checked all the electrical connections were good. Then i checked the hoses. The hose coming off the super charger was fairly oily but also had some black sludge.
Took the intercooler out to make sure that it was clean, washed it out with some detergent just incase.

Took it out and tested it today and it was running perfectly. Looks like a vitron seal and a catch can will be coming my way.

    Thanks for the help

Don't forget to check the hoses regularly. Glad you found it!
