    stock prop results with R3

Just in case anybody was wondering, my rpms are finally dead on with using a stock prop at stock pitch. Until today, 7500 rpms with 13/22r solas. Now at 8100 or so rpms with stocker. I am finally there. The extra 600 rpms was awesome! It felt like the difference of adding the reflash to stock ski.

Got to try my R3 today, running scat 14/19 at 8400 rpm with killer acceleration. Top speed was about the same as with the R1 but the low through mid range was vastly improved.

What is your top speed mph? Did you check your AF at WOT at 8400 with the R3 versus the R1?

Glad you took my advise from your earlier post,-----" What are your max rpm's ? I supect you have way too tall a prop. I set up a sho cruser with a similar set up as your and 75 mph was easy in extreamly hot weather with the oem innercooler. IMO you need a prop pitch around 14/19 0r 14/20 . TIP FOR YOU If you have the oem prop try it again you will be suprised what you just might find. Tommy Jordan"

There were white caps on the water today and temp was 104 so only showed 76mph on gps. I did not check the AF, that will be my next purchase.

R3 limit per R&D is 8850. Did you specify a lower limit or is 8100 as far as you want to push your rpms?

All I have is the stock tach, so I am just keeping it near 8000 rpms for now. It is like a new ski. Now I may ship my solas 13/22r to get repitched. The holeshot had bad cavitation but I love the new stock prop that I bought from Jim's performance since the dealership messed mine up. Thanks Jim!

Your very welcome, Looks like your rpm are right were you wanted them and sounds like the ski is running very well.
