Drive shaft boot greasing .....?
How often do you grease your driveshaft boot? I see a grease nipple on there so I'm assuming your supposed to keep up on it but not sure how often...it was done once when the motor was put in (about 6 hours on motor) I believe I've heard of people over greasing them and blowing the boot up so I don't want to pump extra in there but just want to make sure it has a sufficient amount in there to function properly ...

I donno the correct answer, but I dont get too carried away with it. Couple times a season for me.

I usually end up greasing it after every other 3 or 4 rides

How do you know if it has enough in there and how not to pump too much in? Most grease fittings will overflow, but I heard in this case instead of a simple little amount of grease squirting out of the nipple, the boot will tear open...?

I usually squeeze until the boot moves slightly. If the boot bulges and the drive shaft moves rear ward then that's too much.
