need xlt 800 compression/psi
I am hoping somebody can give me the compression on xlt 800 or gp800r. I am having lowell do port and head work on wifeys ski and he needs a stock psi to work with for cutting head.
If any body has worked an 800 motor I would appreciate any input also.
I am adding vf3s, carbs reworked, grate, plate, prop, advancing timing for starters

I have seen stock 800 motors range in compression from 120psi to 135psi. All used the same Matco gauge for measurement. My most recent engine started with a compression reading of 128psi and 130psi (front/rear). Hope that helps. Also with most of my modified motors I have found that compression in the 155-165psi range results in the longest lasting, most pump gas friendly motors. I'm sure Lowell can get you fixed up.
