    PWC shops out of business

Just curious, what shops if any have gone out of business in your area in the last year or two due to hard economic times? (PWC / boat related only of course)

The polaris dealer I have been using for parts went out of business. Its unfortunate because they still serviced watercraft. Very rare from what I understand.

Joe Day (J.D. preformance) sold at just the right time and the economy slammed the new owner. The had Polaris Seadoo and Ducati.
There is a another shop less than a mile away so it was too much for them There old master mechanic has put his number on craigslist looking for pwc's and quads ect to work on.

seems (repair) business is up around here...not so easy to walk into a boat shop, sign your name and drive off with a new double trailer with some shiny new gelcoats.
I'm working on more "neglected in storage for five years" skis this year then ever before, people are selling old stuff and so far this season, I've only had one current model year ski thru for an oil change.
of course far less money to be made working on old stuff. Had to do a drain hose replacement on a 96 xp yesterday and everything was so nasty and rough inside that it took me literally twice as long as it should have.jug Luckily I didn't jab my fingers on any fish hooks that were in the hull.
Dealership sales staff are the ones really hurting..we all know that it's the shop that keeps these places afloat mostly.
