03 GTX SC Speedometer Issue? and Just Saying Hello
I just joined and I thought I'd introduce myself:
I have an 03 Sea Doo GTX SC with an 04 engine (the original owner blew the original engine).
In the years that I've owned the ski (which is the entire life of the new engine) I've had a top ski of about 57-58 mph as my speedometer reports. I've been reading and it sounds like people usually get about 5 mph more than I'm getting. Also, I "raced" my neighbor once and we were neck and neck and he told me that his speedometer read about 65. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of the speedometer being wrong? It seems unlikely to me but I figure I would ask. Also, I haven't had the supercharger rebuilt but the whole time I've owned it I have had the same performance.
Let me know what you guys think.

The "dreamometer", as it's known, is off prob. by 3 mph, maybe a little more or a little less. You will only ever know your true speed by using GPS.
If you have anywhere near or over 100 hrs. on your engine, you should have your SC rebuilt. Of course, I'm assuming your "new engine" included a SC w/upgraded washers... You can read all about the SD SC/washer issue by clicking the link "Supercharger Rebuild" on the top left of any page.
Finally, welcome to the forum.
