    Question about carbon seal

2004 gtx wakeboard edition. purchased new carbon seal for my ski, old one was ovaled out in the center. Should the carbon seal fit somewhat tight around the driveshaft? mine has about an 1/8" gap all around. how will this keep water out?

Thanks again msrxp. I just thought it would be tighter. any ideas why the old one would be oval shaped in the center?

Or possible engine misalignment. May want to see if someone near you has an alignment tool. Seadoos have been known to come from the factory misaligned...
