2006 rxt riva stage 1 need help

I have a seadoo rxt that has only 19 hours on it.I added a riva stage 1 kit and it lost rpm.It only turns about 7400 rpm now but the mph looks to be 69mph.I could of swore it turned about 7800 rpm before I put the kit on.I have double and triple checked all connections. Also did compression check. cyl #1 120 cyl #2 115 cyl #3 115.Could the sc gone bad with 19 hours on it?Is there some thing I over looked. I pulled the sc today and it looked fine. That probably dosnt mean anything though, because i need to do a slip test, i guess.I know the gps does a better mph reading than stock but... my speedo was reading 68-69 mph and rpm was 7300-7400.Outside air temp 95 water temp ? .Its been over 100 degrees every day for atleast a week so the water temp must be high.please help any advice or suggestion will help.

SC is a good start and measure to check slip to know and rule that out.
Did you change props with the kit.
Its possible that the OEM prop was running aprox 69 at 8,000 rpm and then put on a solas and be as fast but rpms be down.
Need more power to pull the bigger prop or depitch the prop to get rpms up to 8,000 rpm and you will then gain speed.

I had a Riva stg1 on the RXT I used to have. The prop may be a little too much for that kit, but I saw 8000+ rpms with it in mine.
7400 rpms sounds like a boost leak. Could also be charger slip. One way to tell is to cruise for about 2-3 min at 6000 rpm, then punch it. If the ski seems like it is hesitating for a second or 2 then takes off, then your SC is slipping.
Get a gps, the speedo's are not even close to being accurate.

Skoepp, yes i did change props with what riva sent. solas 14/17r. I might just put my stock prop on and see what happens.

Troyherb, I will also try your method for the slip test. thanks for the responses. will test today and give answers.

    Any other thoughts?

I'm in the same boat buddy, I have a 4" kana, riva grate and stock prop pulled 7850/7900 rpm all day long in 95-100 deg weather with stock prop.
I put a 14/17r in this past weekend with flipped wear ring and the best rpm I could get was 7300/7400 at 64-65 on dream o meter, so there is imo nothing wrong with the ski just needs more power to pull the prop..
Im gonna leave it in there and at the moment looking for a x-charger and then see what rpm i pull and go from there...

Try the stock prop. I ran the stocker for a while in mine and it ran very close to the rev limit 8300. And if it seems like it runs fine, but rpms are still down, then I still think you have boost leak.

put stock impeller on and it turned 7940-7960rpm and peaked a couple of times at 8000. peaked at 112 kph.so why cant my motor turn the riva stage 1 impeller. should i just run stock impeller?

My best "guess" would be that your "Riva Stage 1 impeller" is for
an rxp or is just pitched/ labeled/ manufactured incorrectly.
You should be running a solas 14/17 prop with your set up.
Make sure you're not trying to turn anything larger (14/19, 15/20, 13/1...

I can only spin a 14/17 to 8000 in the heat with a stage 2 ish rxt.
