Yup, they start to rip once you crest the 200hp mark.

All it takes is a good IC and some more boost, now if Honda would only ante up and upgrade those components off the showroom floor........... maybe in 2008?

I sure F'n hope they do SOMETHING new.

I think Honda could have made a really great ski and blew the chance. Why does the engine only top out at about 6500RPM? Add a couple thousand RPMs to the top end and a few more pounds of boost and the Honda would be able to compete with an RXP. I dont think anything would help the bogging problem due to the fact that its a turbo.

It always comes down to the same things, fuel economy and reliability for the middle crowd.
Sales of PWC certainly doesn't help the manufacturers bottom line a whole bunch, so my guess is the performance goal doesn't warrant any more R&D than they have slated for it.
    DAMN those bean-counters!!!

Take a look at Nitros stuff, he will put you over the 200hp mark. I just purchased parts from him, the quality looks awesome, and i will be beating RXP's!

    Honda performance

If the RXP could pull a 17/29 impeller how fast would it run? How much bog out of the hole would it have? Maybe it wouldn't even plane! I am not happy that Honda has not upgraded their origional ski but even with that said it is still a awesome ride. 70+GPS is easy with the correct bolt-ons and a little bit of testing. The inside of the engine is stock even the spark plugs with 93 octain pump gas. No special ride plate no special intake grate no special exhaust, no superman. When the day comes that someone steps up to the plate and does some mods and releases them to the public the Honda population will all prosper. The price of the units are so cheap now that not buying one is really hard to do. Put the 3000.00 saved and buy the Nitro kit and run 70+ all day long with NO break downs.Comparing a RXP to a R12X isn't comparing apples to apples 215hp 1500cc to 165hp 1235cc nothing to brag about expecially when you get beat by one! See you boys at the lake!!

$300 is enough to stay beside a full tilt Honda, been there, done it. $500 to be in front....
