New Hydro-Turf Installed on 96 XP

Installed some Hydro-Turf on my 96 XP last night.

I got a sheet and cut the mats myself.
Used the original mats as a pattern and cut the turf with a razor knife.
Used Weldwood contact cement to stick the down.

It was super easy and took about 2 hours from start to finish.

I am thinking about putting some on the sides where my legs rest (just in front of the XP sticker)

    Tell me what you think....

I used a razor to pull the black rivet covers off,
Then I drilled the rivets... first with a small bit to deteriorate the inside of the rivet.
Next I used a bigger bit to remove the rivet head.
Then I just pulled the old stuff up.
I then made all old rivets flush or pushed them thru.
Then I used a mixture of cleaners to clean the foot beds.

Yes, I filled in the holes with contact cement.
The stuff I got brushed on pretty thin so I don't know if how waterproof the rivet holes are.
I wasn't too concerned because i had some missing rivets anyways and never had a flooding issue.
If I have some leaks, I will pull the turf up and fill in with body filler (I have a lot left over because I bought a roll)
