    95 XP800 Factory Pipe + Novi jetting??

    Hi All,

Looking for some help on the set-up of my brother's boat.
It's a 95XP800 with the lighter hull and set-back pump etc.
Its got kawasaki flat top pistons, factory pipe spec 2 (without electronic water injection) and Mikuni 46mm Novi's.

The carbs are set-up so that the fuel pumps are facing vertically up and the diagphrams facing down into the bottom of the ski. The carbs are attached to block via rubber couplers.

I need to know the correct safe jetting required for this set-up, when we got the ski it had 130 low jets and 100 mains? Is this correct, been having some problems with set-up.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Grant

I have been away from that setup for too long to recall the correct jetting, but you should be running ECWI. It helps quite a bit.

Are the cylinders still original? 95's had weird porting, which dictated the use of the small pilots compared to the different porting 96 & up engines. And in 96 they had updated the carbs. So...if you still have the 95 cylinders, normal jetting is out the window.

Give Tim at Novi a call and he will be more than willing to give you them specs.

sounds like a old set of Novi's, is there a purple fuel rail connecting the carbs and does it have an external fuel pump? I always thought the pumps on the carbs were the best bet, I never seen any 785 run good with the carbs that way. Tims an awesome guy, he will know.
