    Impeller/ pump install on a 1993 750

I just installed the newer style impeller/pump on my 1993 750 jet ski. Its now doggy to get goin. The new impeller number is polaris 5131079. Im wonderin if i should change the impeller to a new one and witch one. Ive heard that the 93 power band is higher and Ive noticed that if I lean forward and get it goin it hits a power band all of sudden and takes of. Once its goin it goes until you make a sharp turn then its doggy. Im also thinking about checking the crank phase because that might cause it. Ive heard you can take a stick mark it at TDC in the center cylinder and then mark the front and back cylinder. you then repeat this for the front TDC and back TDC cylinder and they shoul get all the same markings is this correct. thank you for you time.

That is the correct impeller for a 750 (079)

You're prob going to need to dial in the carbs bit since the impeller change.

And this will help explain the crank phase along with alot of other stuff..

Checked the crank phase and its just a little bit of like not even a 1/16 so Im thinkin its not that. Im goin to buy a carb rebuild kit

checked the low speed screw it was all the way in, Im goin to put the pump back together and try it tomorrow. I believe the low speed screw is 1/2 turn out.

Yep 1/2 turn OUT on the 93 750.

    Check the hi's too:

All OUT from a LIGHTLY seated position.

    carbs

Ok I took it out and started to screw with the carbs. I could smell gas so I leaned out the high speed screw man did that make a difference. Its still boggy on the low end but not as bad. my question is on my high speed screws they have like blue covers for them. so I cant take and screw them in all the way, unless I take them off wonderin if I should take them of screw them all the way in and then back of the 1 1/4m 3/8 c 7/8 p turns for high speed.
