    protective rubber

    covering the carb adjustment screw is like some protective rubber strips on each one, between the screws and exhaust. why are they there and do i need to have them?

    if i can think of what you are talking about then yes, they are there for a reason.. its to prevent any type of water from spraying into the air intake.
