    Help swaping out mid-shft

Hey guys sorry for the question as Im new to yamahas but I would like some advice on how to get the short midshaft from my xr1800 on the newer bearing and housing that currently has the longer gpr shaft on it. I don't know how but the ears broke off my current housing and my buddy had the one from a gpr laying around so I'm just trying to
swap them and get back on the water. Thanks and if you need any other information or have questions feel free to ask.

Not sure on the 1800 but on my 1200r the shaft just presses out of the bearings. i used a hammer and pin to drive it out then just knocked it back in with a hammer.

Hey thanks alot It worked great just pressing them out. I thought for sure it twist off or something like that. Thanks again and because of your advice I got the boat in the water today.
