    salt stains inside motor

I thought it was natural to have salt stains ( i ride in salt water) inside the motor after every ride, untill my friend told me that he does not have the same problem. My ride is a 2007 RXT, There is no water in the hull after each ride, however there is dry salt all over the engine and especially at the front part, could it be the holes under the seat dripping water?

You will find alot of seadoo will do this the water leaks through the seat, you will find under the seat that there are little holes in it, the water goes through the holes and drips on the motor.I know of a few seadoo's that fo this.

Yeah mine does it too. Don't worry too much about it but I recommend you buy some silicone spray and spray the engine bay before using the ski..

This is true for all sea doo's. I wouldnt worry to much about it! if it bugs you go ahead and spray some silicone spray. But just spray down the engine with freshwater after your ride and you'll be good to go. So good spray is also lithium grease. . . .no waters getting through that stuff!

I notice some on my valve cover after I ride too. I ride in a brackish river. I just wipe it off with a towel and spray some fluid film on it.

i actually plugged mine up with some plastic plugs that you can purchase from a reticulation shop.. i think they were 4mm caps with a 2mm plug??? you have to remember to let the seat "drain" though after a really wet ride.. but it does stop the engine getting covered with salt..
