Any plus to putting my Powershot on my Stock FZR?

    Hey guys,
I have a Powershot on my modded FZS and it has been a help with the boost limiter mostly. I'm going the reflash route now and with just a C1 I dont think Ill need the Powershot if I go R-1 or R-3.
I also have an almost stock FZR that I am starting to mod. It has FF Exhaust, Manifold Upgrade/Ribbon remove installed and a R&D Intake/w filter coming. lol This was for our nephews and generally a family loaner (wifes family and yes, shes spoiled ! )
Is there any gains to putting the Powershot on that boat that is almost stock?
I've re-read the sales stuff from R&D and it just talks about stronger mid etc... nothing about mods.

    Thanks for the advice.

Not unless your running into the boost limiter. Because at stock rpms the stock SC wheel is essentially maxed out. IMO too much hassle for little/no gain. Feel free to ask R&D directly though, they might say something else.

IMO if you add boost you need an AFR gauge. That will tell YOU what YOUR ski is doing and tell you if you need more fuel.

The stock SC wheel is not maxed out at stock RPM. I made 10 pounds of boost on the stock SC wheel at 8500 RPM.

This was with the JD intercooler. I picked up a full pound of boost over my previous type 19. I didn't ever hardly get heatsoak with the stock wheel, JD intercooler, and JD water routing. This was also in pretty hot weather.

Hmm, so I guess with the intake, exhaust, manifold sleeve and Ill pick up an intercooler for it, then maybe the powershot will help get the boost up a little if my mods are enough to get a few more rpm out of it.

If you are still on the stock ecu, you are not going to get more boost because you are still turning the stock rpm @ 7800.
