Unhappy New member... pair of 785's (much work ahead)

    Hello all,
Name is johnny, been riding skis for the past 3 years and modifying extensively with stand ups. was offered a trade, a pair of pro785's with a trailer for an old race engine i had laying around. now the fun part...

    ski 1:
perfect condition hull, mostly stock, engine in pieces in a rubermade bin... (no idea what im missing. looking into the possibility of a larger engine due to not knowing how many parts the 785 is still missing) will be the gf's ski

    ski 2:
sun faded hull, but under the seat looks amazing, aftermarket head, tripple pipes, v-force reeds, skat trax billet pump, skat prop, custom steering setup, manual trim lever, converted to pre mix. Just went through and rebuild carbs and then found that from sitting for a few years the crank has surface rust. Time for full rebuild sine im not willing to risk popping the motor by turning it over.

Pulling the race engine tomorrow, and seeing how bad its going to be, hoping new bearings and a gasket kit will get it out on the water. i want to see what this bad boy can do. pics will be up later today and throughout tomorrow for the pull and rebuild. hoping by the weekend it will run.

great forum cant wait to get to know yall better

will need lots of work... but it has enough potential it was def worth what i traded for it. now its about finding parts for these bad boys. starting with engine rebuild and going from there. wondering if there is any way to swap a 1050 into the clean hull
