RXPX and Riva Plate Allignment
Just installed my second Riva plate on the PX a couple weeks ago. Been busy tuning AFRs so not alot of attention to handling details until yesterday. Seems like the ski isnt tracking properly, tends to pull a bit to the right. In other words when i'm just crusing at say 40-45 I am having to pull it back just a bit to the left, if I relax my arms the ski pulls to the right. Once I get up to speed say around 50 or higher the nose lifts to where I'm on the Riva plate and it stops pulling to the right and straightens out to what I would consider almost perfect. I got to looking for something out of allignment with the hull thinking maybe the grate or plate not straight and found what looks like the plate doesnt sit square. I looks like the back of the plate was casted to where the bosses are shifted to the right side a bit causing the plate to sit slightly (3/16" to 1/4") to the left at rear. Seems like if this was the problem the ski would pull to the left and not the right.
Am I overlooking the obvious here or has anyone else experienced something simular. If anyone else is running the plate on the PX please check the positioning of the rear bosses/bolt holes to see if i'm just crazy and the only one with the holes shifted to the right.
