I think main indication is coolant loss... over flows out of coolant bottle.

I first start out with checking the dipstick for water invasion then pull plugs check them check coolant tank spin engine over with fuel pump disconnected and check compression at wot download the seadoo manual at seadoomanual.net very intuitive.

130 psi is average +or- some.

If u fill the bottle, and there are no leaks on any of the cooling lines, then its overflowing the bottle while doing WOT runs. The coolant goes into the hull, and the bailers suck it out of the hull.

Tape the overflow tube into a coke bottle, and run it for a few passes, if it fills the bottle , then the head gasket is shot.

Most Snap On Compression testing tools you can remove the shrader valve from the end & Air the cyl up with 100 psi Air hose to check for head gasket leak..... it will be bubbling out of the water tank if it is blown. remove the radiator cap while performing this test. dont worry about the postion of the engine the air will push the piston down and the valve closed. You might see the air change the position of the crankshaft 60-90 degrees from each cyl test.
