Water in compartment coming from from back of jetski 1110 stx 2002 model

Just put the 2002 1100 stx in the water after being in storage for a year. Water was filling up the compartment on the first ride out. I drained it and took off the seat ran it around an looked inside to see water coming from the back side of the jetski . The water only comes in when running in the lake r, it did not fill up in the compartment when I hooked up the water to the flush unit.

Does this sound like a cooling hose from the pump maybe cracked or is their a seal in the shaft that might be bad leaking in water?

PS. yes the drain plugs are in

    Could be either one.

On that model, it is very likely that the drive shaft tunnel "aluminum" piece might have separated from the hull. Fill the hull with garden hose water with your ski on a trailer or cart. Then watch where the water is dripping out.

Go to the boat ramp put the ski iN the water and leave it tied to the trailer then look in there with a flash light. Then if you have to you could run it on the trailer and look for leaks.

I had bad seals on my drain plugs one time. They were soft and squishy. I found that a washer from a garden hose works great.
