    'Told to total my PRO1200

I have a 2000 PRO1200, the electrical box opened and sustained salt water damage (corrosion) -I didn't know it happened until the engine just died. I removed the electrical box and saw it was wet and corroded.
I brought it into a jet ski repair place in Hampton Bays, NY and was told that the Flywheel could also be damaged and its not worth fixing due to repair costs.
Although its a 2000, the ski only has 11 hours on it.
    Is it totalled?

i'LL COME GET IT IF YOU DUMP IT..NO, its not totaled. You would need to clean the ebox free of corrosion first and then re hook up everything and see if she fires up. did she sink? how did water get inside the box?

Thanks for the advice...flipped it on a wave, the battery belts came off and the seal on the e-box broke open. it didn't sink, just got wet and caused corrosion. I don't think I'm capable of cleaning it and rehooking everything and a repair shop doesn't want to be bothered with it and is telling me its not worth fixing. I wish I knew a reliable mechanic in the NY/Hamptons area.

ditto.fix that ski.replacing the board is like a simple map.its just a place to join wires together.hook the green wires together on the terminal that says green.the bilge pump has a dedicated terminal as does the mfd and the red supply lead, hell get the board, unplug the external quick disconnects, mail it to me i'll do it for free, you pay shipping.

    Thanks MUCH!!
I may want to take you up on that offer and I'd be more than happy to compensate you for your time. I've already disconnected the e-box.
I'm headed out to the marina's mechanic this weekend. I'll probbaly hear an earful of more crap and will end up taking the ski home with the e-box in the same mess as when I dropped it off! Ironically, this place offers hourly rentals, I can't help but think that they'll take these broken ski's, repair them and make $$ renting them out, while telling the unknowing owners that they can't be repaired.
Can you share your contact info? I'm at [email protected] A HUGE Thanks.
