How to remove throttle/choke cable?
I am in the process of rebuilding carbs on 1997 yamaha wave venture 760. Got stuck when it came to removing the throttle and choke cables. was gonna unscrew bolts on the bottom of cable but didn't want to mess anything up.

You can remove either top or bottom bolt would be fine, when you put everything back just leave a little slack in the cable, but still need adjustment, for the throttle just lightly tighten the bolt and then squeeze the throttle and look at your carb plate see if it open fully, if not adjust, loosen and adjust top or bottom bolt and lightly tighten bolt, do this till the plate open fully, same goes for the choke plate but opposite, adjust and pull choke till the choke plate close fully and make sure when you open the choke, the plate open fully. You really cant go wrong.....
