Yellow waveblaster fire coming from carbs

So i got this 93-94 not really sure. But it is Yellow 760 waveblaster. Anyways when we fire this machine up on the hose it runs up and fire comes up from the carbs. Is this Carb popping?
And I need to check the reeds or is it just little oil build up in the crankcase. This machine sat for couple seasons b4 I got em. Or check for air leaks? Thanks

This is a reed issue you should not have fuel coming back out the carbs much less fire.

Lots of places still sell reeds for these, look for Boyesson reeds they are good alternative to the stock ones.

Yellow waveblaster fire coming from carbs

To follow up for anybody needing info

I took the reeds and cages to work and cleaned up the metal cages and then flipped the petals over. This temporary fixed the problem still have a slight creep when it's hooked up to a hose.

and slight bottom end bog but I rode 3 tanks this summer and had a great time.

Flipping the reeds around is a trick known to just about anyone working on 2-strokes. Many (including myself) will say its not worth tearing the old reeds out just to flip them around and risk them not sealing properly or worse breaking off and getting ingested by the engine. Replacing with new is the right fix.

Thanks for regurgitating the same info I posted. Obviously when I said "temporary" i meant just that. I wanted to make sure this ski was still going to run before I spent money on it.
