dremeling leading edge of impeller after rock damage?
Water was WAY down last week... I should have know better. But, I choose to try and cross the shallow spot anyway...
Long story short.
I just pulled my pump to replace my driveshaft and forgot about ingesting a few rocks...till now....oops...
I sucked them up and shut the ski off right away. Then restarted it because I was getting close to the dam.... it blew the rock out and that was that.
Or so I thought....
I've got a trashed wear ring. And the leading edges of my 15/20 are pretty hacked up to say the least...
my questions is. If I smooth. Them out and resharpen them with my dremel will it be ok to ride this weekend?
Has anyone cleaned up a leading edge with a grinder?

I have cleaned up a few OEM props with a hand held grinder. The one solas 14/19R that has bad nicks I ground down with a hand file. It took a little longer, but the results were better for taking the time. The OEM props took less than 10 mins each. I did both sides of the blades. Using the file took 20.
