    99 gtx rfi voltage

I have a Gtx RFI that has low voltage flashing randomly. Has a new 100.00 agm battery, I checked the voltage running and it gets up over 16v idling out of the water. I assume the rectifier is bad but don't want to throw parts at it. Is there any other checks for the rectifier? Thanks for your help

using a volt meter accross the battery with the ski running you should get normal battery volatage (12.5 +/-) Rev the engine to 5500 RPM and you should spike to no higher than 15 Vdc. If it gets higher than that replace the rectifier. But first test the stator. Of course you already knew that...

It's best to download the free manaul and refer to it to do the test.

Is there a link to the manual or does anyone know the sequence to check the stator. Thanks
