    99' xl1200a coupling question

I just found a leak in the rear crankshaft seal area of our 99' xlt. Figured I may as well take the coupling off before I tear it down again...

Can someone tell me for sure which way is "off" for this thing? I know everything is metric but is it standard threads? You know... "righty tighty...? I've got the couppler tool but it looks rather "flimsy" if its really stuck on there.... being almost 13 years old now i'm sure its not gonna be easy!

Thanks "OsideBill", thought I'd show one of your previous pic's.... It shows the threads (righty tighty) very clearly
