Steering problem on a RXP wont stay straight!?!

Ok, heres the set up, 07 RXP, with a 08 RXPX steering setup, now heres my problem, no matter how many times I set the steering for center, after about 30 monutes on the water, their always going "cocked" towards the left, and I loose about half of my left turning ability. I will then pull it out, remeasure, restet everything back to center, and then about 30 minutes later after riding, their back to the left???? What the hell?

I was thinking about doing exactly what you have done to my rxp. Was it hard to convert? Hope someone can help you figure out what's going on with it.

Once set up and locked in position it should not move. Have you checked after 1/2 hour before you pulled apart to see if anything had moved and if so what did you find and where?

How are you setting it up and where are you making your adjustments.

I know, thats what is getting me nothing appears to have moved, but sure as hell somethings moving. I center the handle bars, and measure down to the hull, I then put a straight edge on the nozzle, and measure to the hull, I adjust it using the adjuster, under the hood, as per the manual. This boat did suck rocks last yeat, and got a new wear ring, impellor, and I had to cut the vanes out of the pump, but that should not have made any differance, but IIRC it was off before that, but I can not remeber for sure. Thoughts?

To be honest, I have done this and the UMI, and the UMI, is a better way to go in my opinion, its cheaper, and you dont need a filler plate for the top of your hull. Do a UMI, get a set of ROX Risers, and your set!

I would think your adjuster under the hood is slipping or broke even if it doesn't look like it is the only explanation that I can think of.

I know but everything is bolted up tight and snug, no apparent slipping I can see????
