Question The VTS Trim Fix module anyone bought one?

    http://thetrimfix.com/

    or

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...Name=WDVW&rd=1

My Trim just stopped working, super pissed as it has 46 hours on the ski, anyways, pulled everything apart, waters was in the VTS box, boot needs to be replaced, water in the motor, drained it all and tested the motor, works fine, and works fine attached to the gear worm drive as well.

So guessing its a electric issue.

So I either cut open the VTS module and go through all the testing or just get this $100 trim thing.

Currently, the bottom 7.5 amp fuse keeps blowing, motor does work with 12v gauge was working.

Has anyone bought this module? I need it before next weekend as I`m going to the cottage for a week and it would suck to be riding 2up with out trim.

Occasionally, someone will have a used one for sell or, just "bite the bullet" and buy a new one. They are around $250ish new. Make absolutely sure that the rubber seal on the shaft is tight or you will ruin the new one again.

just in case you want a low cost option..., and under $20. well, how can you go wrong ?

this definitely works, its in both of my last two ski's.

and out of curiosity,, do you guys actually use the trim that often ? I find that I just usually leave mine near the center and ride all day, I rarely feel the need to trim up or down.

I just sent a message out to a contact at The Trim Fix asking for pics of it installed. I cant quite understand how you install his system without removing the oem VTS. How does it piggyback the oem? Looks like a nice concept for under a $100 but if I have to start riggin brackets and wiring harnesses, then I might just attempt to fix the old one.

Yeah, but do you have to stop it when its done going all the way up? The $20 fix you gotta watch the gauge because it'll go up to far and break stuff. That why I never did the cheap fix. If this works I'll order one for my ski.

Mines on order I will post up once I get it installed...

Yes I use my trim alot, pending two up riding, fuel in tank, playing around, wave jumping.

Still pissed that I didn't check the vts box for water last year...
