    What about rc1 cams

i'm thinking about buying RC1 R&D cams For my FZR , my ECU is R3 , is it gonna work with it ?

Do i have to buy R&D Valve Spring Kit upgrades because i'm thinking to go 8800 RPM and is that gonna give me more horse power and have any one istalled these cams ?

The cams are a good addition helps low and mid range, also you will need the Valve spring kit.

I did not install my cams as it was more than I wanted to do at the time but if you have installed cams and have experience shimming valves you should not have a problem. I would also get the cam gears from R&D,

were are you located sound like you are building a monster ski

According to the R&D website, you can run the RC1 cams on stock springs.

If you are shooting for 8800 rpm you may benefit more from the RC2 cams. The RC1 cams target peak horsepower in the 7500-8500 range. You may be able to use the RC1 cams in conjunction with the cam gears to tweak the RPM where the motor will make the best power, but I'm not sure. I would call R&D or send them an email with your entire setup and discuss your goals to see what would work best for your boat.

It's not a very easy install to change cams and it will require reshimming the valves. Just giving you a heads up.
