Ride plate inserts: is there an alternative to 5200 for gluing them down?
I bought the newer style ride plate inserts for my FX140, and they fit perfect. I bought a tube of 5200 at the only boat shop on my side of town, and it was partially cured in the tube. I tried to use it anyway but just made a mess.
I'm going to try and source a tube tomorrow, but if I can't is there something else I can use, that may be easier to find?
I'm really hoping to take the ski to lake Travis this week.

Home depot carries the 5200, if that helps. Also try Napa.

I didn't think Home Depot would carry it, I will have to check them out.
I didn't try Napa because I struck out at two other auto parts stores, but I will give them a call.

"...just made a mess."
Clean-up on Aisle Two! Denatured alcohol for 5200. Really, never buy a tube of 5200 without a pint of denatured alcohol.
