    750 SS fuel pump

Is there a way I can test if my fuel pump is working or not?Could someone explain to me how the fuel system works on this Ski?Does the pump actually pull fuel or does the fuel tank somehow get pressureized and the fuel gets forced to the carb? Thanks...

The pump pulls fuel. It uses the vacuum from the crank case and a series of check valves to keep fuel from running back down the line. I tested mine by hooking up a clear hose and running it to some fuel in a container and seeing if it pumped it (make sure the container is far enough away from the ski you don't have accidental ignition of any fumes).

Other than that, take it apart and make sure the check valves are closed all the way and have enough tension. If anyone else has any other methods, I would be interested to know.
