    RPX - 215 engine in GTI - Only revs to 7300 since engine swap. Please help.

    Trying to help out a friend. He put a RXP engine in a 2007 GTI hull, with X Charger, X injectors, RXP pump with stock RXP impeller and for the life of him cannot get the ski to rev past 7300 rpm. Thats even with a stock nozzle bored to 86mm.

    One thing that was not done was T the bottom hose that goes from the bottom of the exhaust manifold to the bottom of the J pipe. I cant see that making you lose 800 rpm though.

    Any suggestions on this swap and what can be causing the low rpm? I know others have done it but cannot find the threads to see the combination that was used. Thanks in advance for any information that can help.

    What year rxp engine? What ecu and wiring?

    06 rxp with all 06 rxp harnesses and 06 rxp ecu. Three sensors that were not swapped over were t-stat, knock, and cam.

    I'm thinking something with the knock sensor circuit. No codes?

    Nope, no codes. Was going to swap the knock sensor tomorrow and see if that helps. Sortta stumped. I keep thinking impeller is to tall (tried others) or pump tunnel not big enough to process the extra water flow.

    Knock sensor was replaced and ski feels better but wot rpm are still the same.
    What impeller would be recommended with this setup? In theory it should be able to turn the stock rxp impeller but maybe due to the smaller tunnel it needs smaller pitch?
