    I need help identifying a reason piston went.

    I have the top end apart. The attached pictures show the damage to the piston. It looks like a chunk of the ring let go and embedded itself in the top of the piston. I want to make sure this isn't an air leak or an oil injector problem.

    I dont think it was a fuel issue, the dome looks good. Looks like it was either lack of oil or cooling issues. Do you pre-mix?

    No I don't. I have to figure out how to test the oil pump before I reassemble.
