yamaha fzs 09 or 07 seadoo rxt

Hello , Im still a newbie so please excuse the questions. I been reading much about both ski's.
In terms of reliabilty which is a better ski, 09 Yam FZS with 55 hours( $8,000) or the seadoo rxt thats an 06 with also 55 hours ( already had ceramic washers replaced ) $ 6,500

    Thanks in advance

Are there any known issues with the 09 FZS.

I wouldnt know, dont own one, but from what I been reading, just change out the stock grate to a aftermarket, it has been known to throw rider off so I read...

Only real issue with 09 FZR is the intake grate needs to be changed from a safety point of view. Not guaranteed but a lot of guys have had the grate stuff with water when they let off the throttle at high speed. Think of it like the ski comes to an abrupt stop and turns slightly throwing you over the bars at 65..ouch. Never happened to me but all my grates were changed within the first 10 hours or so.
Fix is simply get an aftermarket R&D, Worx, etc... grate and problem solved. The grates are only like 150 or so and the seal kit is like 75 and it makes it a solid choice from then on. Takes about 30 minutes to install (you really need the seal kit and the grate to be complete)Mine has been seriously trouble free since 09 and I have an 09 FZS, FZR, and VX Cruiser. Not an issue on any except when my wife once sucked a super thick trash bag in her grate and I learned the art of fishing with a bent clothes hanger.

Fzr for sure. Much better hull than a 06 rxt and easier to work on.
