Docking a 2009 FX HO
Hello new to the 2009 FX HO , boating for years
I had a question on easy way to tie up at the dock
just got a pair of hull hugrs for pwc, dock lines 15'
back is easy but the front is the hard part with no cleats
how do you tie off the the front end ? no easy to reach bow ?

I tie off around the handlebars and the back cleat in rougher water. Normally I just tie off at the handlebars since it works fine in a protected area.

You can put a line around the steering column for the front. That's what I do.

I really hate having to wrap around the steering column to tie off at the dock. The problem is that the rope always gets shoved up under the plastic cover where the handlebars swivel. And then its a real bitch getting it out without screwing something up.
What i do is tie off around the handgrip opposite the dock. I hate doing that but its what i prefer over screwing up the plastic around the steering column.
Im thinking of getting those handy looking Yamaha pop up cleats. Like the ones that come on the cruiser model.

Bought mooring ropes and purchased some metal clips for the end. Clip one to the tow hook and one to the front tie down. I also have the fender huffed. My ski stays in the marina for the summer

I jump in the water and tie off to the front ring. No big deal.
