    Surging

    Possible causes?

Cruisin with the ol' lady the other day...taking it easy....4K-4500 rpm...'05 RXT's. get a surging in the motor...rpms moving up and down 2-400rpm while throttle is constant. Upped the R's to around 5K-5500 rpm...didn't repeat for a while then re-occured. Kicked the throttle up to 6500-7500rpm....no surging noticed that close to wot.

    happened in both skis.....any ideas?

could poor fuel...fuel being cooked in the tanks in 100+* heat for a week or more be a culprit?

You could......but I wouldn't. The engine must be running to make the adjustments.
