    Sponson missing bolt

I just realized that one of the sponsons on my RXT is missing its front bolt. My question is, can that cause or allow water to leak in? I'm not sure when the bolt came out, and I haven't noticed any water in the hull, but it makes me nervous.

I'm also curious as to way it came loose and fell out. My other RXT has 100 more hours on it and both sponsons are rock solid.

Sometimes it happens. Seen it a few times. Your new ski should be here in no time right?

Not till they actually start manufacturing, probably not till Jan or Feb. In the meantime, I just hope I don't sink tomorrow lol!

The bailers should pull the residual out that does get in. Fill the hole with RTV for now and be done with it. I want to get in on one of those Miami to Bahamas run. How would one do that?

If there are no water leaks just replace the bolt using blue locktite 242. If there is a leak remove sponson, ensure the flats (top/bottom) are horizontal (to match sponson), re-silicone, re-install sponson.

    Step 1: Move to Florida

Haha, we might go once more in September but that's very questionable. We'll definitely be doing another trip next year though. If you're serious about it, PM me and I'll send you some contact info. We can put something together for June of 2012.
