Need '05 RXT to keep up with '11 VXR

I hace a '05 GTX Limitied, same as RXT. just kept it simple since RXT it more common.

My brother just got a '11 VXR last week. It's going in for it's 10hr this week. He's dieing to go head-to-head.

    I have the 2.5 wedge.
    Ride plate holes filled.
If I recall, my best, was 64.5 gps.

I have kanaflex, 3" to 4" 90 degree elbow, and the rest of the hardware to do the intake. I'm going to make a PVC catch can today, and rig something to hold the electronics. And I'll take the glove box out, so the fresh air is plentiful.

Not sure what the Intake is going to give me. but will I be close? of do I still have more work to do.

I have PVC holding my OPAS in the up possition, since one of them is not working.
I'll put new wear ring in too.

    What else?

Not sure what else you need but I can tell you that you have a long way to go to keep up to a vxr if your only at 64.5.

I have 2 06 rxts that run 66.5 mph and they are bone stock, but if you want top end, retard the cam timing and pitch the impeller for 8100 rpm for the day and condition you want to ride. 1 of my other skis-- a bone stock 06 RXP picked up 420 rpm going from full advance to full retard.

Stock vxrs run in the 68s, he will def. Holeshot you as well, those skis near damn well jump out of the water at takeoff. Air filter will give ya more pull but not enough to beat him.

Your going to need to spend a lot of $$$$ and time to beat him.
You might be better off selling and getting a 08 or newer doo.
    Just a thought..
