Reduced top speed, poor fuel economy???????

I have a 2007 Seadoo RXT. Always serviced by dealer and well taken care of. I noticed that this season it tops out at 62 mph and the fuel economy has been quite poor. I am concerned that the engine may be working harder than normal (therefore burning more fuel) due to some issue with the supercharger or other jet wear and tear. Anyone else have this problem or heard about how it was resolved. The major reason for concern is that I need to use this machine and my dealer can't service it before I need it. Any thoughts on whether this will cause harm to the engine if I keep using it?

    Thanks in advance

How many RPM's are you turning? Sounds like a SC problem to me...

Changing the oil and plugs and also a new wear ring are things you can do yourself. What rpm's are you turning?

SC is slipping. You need to have it serviced and have the slip set back properly. You are almost 500 low. When did you last change the wear ring? Does the ski cavitate out of the hole?

I don't know much. The dealer did all of that. I also don't know what 'cavitating out of the hole' is. Any ideas on damaging the engine?

By cavitating sounds like a loud vibration, the engine revs high but isnt accellerating very hard.. . . Its caused by a gap in between the impeller and wear ring. Damage to the engine, probably not. Your super charger just isnt working right, it didnt blowup or anything.

When you hit the throttle from a dead stop, it hesitates and bounces the limiter, bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup and then goes after a few short seconds. Turn hard and give it gas and it hesitates instead of jumping out of the water.
