    02 Genesis I no spark

I have a Genesis DI with no spark. It's been to a service shop and now I'm trying to help. Here are the things I have tested so far.

    Bypassed LR503
    Unhooked TPS
    CPS- 144.4ohm
    12volts on Blk/yellow while cranking
    300rpm on gauge while cranking
    Checked water and air sensor
    Bypassed MFI
20volts while cranking on the white/red wires.
Battery voltage is 11.3 while cranking
Stator voltages check good and ohm good
    checked landyard switch
EMM has checked by DFI twice per service shop. Confirmed through DFI Today

Check the lanyard switch and make sure it is working properly.

I have taken landyard switch apart and checked the contacts. Seems to be working correctly

I am not sure if you would have the 20V present while cranking if the lanyard was off, will have to study the wire diagram and figure that one out but just trying to think of what might be the cause. I would actually check the switch with a meter and verify its opening and closing. Also, check your circuit breakers and make sure there isnt one popped.

I did unplug the switch under the chin pad and verified it was working correctly. Circuit breakers are not popped and voltages is correct. One of the 15amp circuit breakers go to the fuel pump and I can see the fuel line jump when trying to start, which would indicate that it is getting pressure.

The MFI will go to sleep after five minutes of no activity. When it wakes up, the speedometer dial cycles full sweep, and all segments of the LCD light up. This works correctly
Does the MFI 'wake up' from sleep when you start cranking the engine after it has been sitting for more than five minutes? This works correctly

Once the display is awake, does it show RPM while you are cranking? yes

You can change the MFI display mode to put the RPM in the main display. What RPM do you see while cranking?300rpm sometimes more or less

Unplug TPS at rear of throttle body - does it start, or spark??no spark

Check the CPS coil ohms (Crank Position Sensor). Should be under 200 ohms.144.4 ohms

Also checked the stator coil AC voltages while cranking the engine.
    1-12 7.10volts
    2-11 7.10volts
    3-10 5.13volts
    4-9 5.11volts
    5-8 5.12volts

Just had a thought. Check your engine ground connection on the engine block and see if that is it.

I ended up sending EMM back to DFI again. Hopefully they will find something wrong. Will update soon

Another thing you can check is the flywheel and make sure you didnt have any magnets come loose.
