    fuel issues

i have a 99 polaris slth 700, i am having a problem with my fuel system and i cant figure out the cause, It will start and idle fine but when i hit the throttle it bogs out and you have to turn the choke on to fix it and then turn choke off and it runs great. you can run it for 5 min or an hour and have no problem but if you shut it for for a second and restart it i have to choke it to get it to rev again. any ideas would be vary helpful

Your running lean. Tune the carbs

are the pumps working, look down the the carbs and look to see that they are spraying a stream when you open the throttle.

yes its spraying fuel, and they were juet rebuilt. i recantly replaced the line with rubber line that i had to stretch to fit them on the carbs, they are a little smaller in the inside hole, you think that could cause an issue?

yes, it could be getting less volume also there are low speed screws at the bottom of each carb, are they adjusted right?

WHen you rebuilt the carbs, did you check the regulator arm height? That adjustment is critical on these Keihins I have found. .060 below the casting. Too low and it will give you that lean bog off idle. I set mine at .060 and I actually had to lean out the bottom end to keep the engine from loading up at idle.
