951 engine died. Frozen/locked after 60sec ride. Pistons look OK, can't turn shaft.
Sea-doo RX carbureted version of the 951. Any ideas?
The ski belongs to a friend but I did witness the short ride. Starter just clicks, shaft stuck, won't budge when tried to turn by hand. We took the spark plugs and the rave valves out, the way it stopped I can see the sides of both of the pistons with rings visible on the front one. Everything looks perfect, spark plugs look good too (just normal not gray at all, had only 1hr on them)
The ski itself has around 190hrs, It was purchased as used two seasons ago, the way it looks engine bolts were not touched before except for the front flywheel cover.
I have no experience with the 951 engines as I never owned one. Any ideas what could lock the crankshaft like that? Judging by the sides of the pistons is not seized at all. Should we take the flywheel cover off check there before the whole engine goes out? The pump seems to be OK as grabbing by the shaft alone not by PTO shows very small play. Trying to turn by the PTO in either direction but zero movement, stuck badly

I will double check but pump looks OK, it even seems to have small play when trying to turn it by hand (not much, just as much as the splines on the shaft/PTO allow it to move. The PTO itself different story no movement of any kind
Hope the bottom end didn't fell apart...
