Jekyll Is, St Simons, Ga Area?
We're spending a week on Jekyll next month and taking one of our 2 skis but we've not explored this area before and wanted to know if anyone was familiar with it or could recommend any good places to ride to or explore? I know people kayak on the marsh side of Jekyll. Can you ride a ski through there? (idle to slow--can't see flying through the marshes and pissing everyone off and upsetting the wildlife) lol..
Thanks in advance

Jekyll is OK but riding the tybee island marshes is much better... you'll see bunches of dolphin at Jekyll but not much else... tybee marshes are like twisty mountain roads tons of fun.

Yeah...we're avoiding Tybee...like the plague! We're also going to the Georgia Shrimp & Grits Fest on Jekyll while we are there. I did read about riding to Cumberland Island and since you can only access it by boat, that sounds like fun with the wild horses running around and stuff and NO CROWDS! (we hate crowds..) We want this to be a nice romantic getaway so a picnic on the beach at Cumberland sounds wonderful! But thanks for the info about Tybee. We've been there.
