    help needed with driveshaft

I have a 95 sl750 a few years a go my dads friend ran over a ski rope. He rolled the ski and pulled out the rope and filled the motor with water.

They had a new motor installed at a shop and it has never been right after that, we took it back to the shop multiple times and they can not figure out what is wrong with it.

When ridding it feels like the ski goes in to natural. After shutting down the ski you can grab the "drive shaft" and spin it and push it back in to the motor?? Could there be a clip or bolt missing ? I have seen a lot about motor alignment

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you in advance

Each end of the driveshaft is supposed to have a little rubber bumper in it. You're probably missing 1 or both. If you are missing 1 or 2, make sure you inspect the drive coupler, driveshaft, and impeller splines real good as they are probably damaged.

    Part number 7....

There is a little bolt on the crank shaft that go's in to the drive shaft. It might not be there or it might be lose. Make sure it is there and not lose or striped.

Could you give a bit more specific detail?
There're no threads on the drive shaft, where does that "little bolt" go?

I think he is referring to his post count not being high enough to sell his parts
